WHY SOME STEAKS ARE EXPENSIVE?
Relative to the size these premium cuts are only a small percentage, which contribute to their premium prices. There are a variety of steaks:
TENDERLOIN – It’s Boneless, the most expensive cut of steak, The tenderest of all the steaks and lean, buttery and mild in flavour.
NEW YORK STRIP STEAK are usually boneless, tender with a nice balance of lean meat to fat. They’re not as tender as tenderloins or rib eyes.
PORTERHOUSE OR T-BONE STEAK are like getting two steaks for one .One side is a piece of the buttery tenderloin, and the other side is beefy, juicy New York strip.
RIBEYE STEAK are deeply beefy and juicy, with plenty of fat to carry their flavor.
FLANK STEAK are without much fat and lots of fibers running along it’s length. For maximum tenderness, cut flank in thin strips against its grain.
SKIRT STEAK are even beefier than flank steak and takes especially well to marinades, best seared or grilled and makes a great stir-fry meat. It is the classic cut used in fajitas.

Cooking time : 15-20 minutes
INGREDIENTS:
FOR BEEF STEAK
- Rib eye 400gms
- Cayenne Pepper 1/2 tbsp
- Salt 1/2 tsp
FOR MUSHROOM SAUCE
- Sliced Mushrooms 1 cup
- Chopped Onion 1 (Medium size)
- Crushed Garlic 1/2 tbsp
- Butter 1/2 tbsp
- Cream 1/2 cup
- Salt and pepper
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Season the ribeye steak with cayenne pepper and salt and let it set for 15 minutes.
- On a hot grilling pan add some butter and grill the steak 5 minutes each side.
- Add the butter onion and mushrooms to the pan and season with salt and pepper.
- Stir for 5 minutes and add the garlic and cream.
- Allow simmering for 5 minutes and than serve.
- Pour mushroom sauce on the top of steak or on side.
NOTE:
Make sure the steak should be at room temperature before frying or grilling.
