Ramadan Kareem- How Muslims spend their Ramadan? | The Circuit Live

Ramadan Kareem- The Circuit Live tried to get the views of Muslims on how do they spend their Ramadan. What do they have for iftar and sehri and their daily routine during Ramadan. The start of Ramadan is determined by the sighting of the new crescent moon by religious clerics.

Ramadan is very precious month to Muslims and there is a certain preparation for it. It is the month of blessings in which adult Muslims fast  from dawn till dusk and try to be their best by doing good deeds like reciting Quran, praying five times to seek ALLAH’S blessings. Fasting is not only beneficial for our physical well-being but it also benefits one’s mental and spiritual health too.

Ramadan is all about patience and sincere commitment, and the faith that you will be rewarded for them. These rewards come from sincerely performing good deeds and fulfilling your duties as a Muslim during this holy month.

Muslims wake in the last quarter of the night for a pre-dawn meal called ‘Suhur’ that mostly comprises of Parathas, Omelette , Yogurt , Lassi (yogurt and milk drink ) etc. in Pakistan and India.

After the sun goes down at dusk, Muslims break their fast known with the meal known as Iftaar. It usually starts with a date , water or milk followed by dinner. There is a special preparation for Iftaar meal like samosas , different types of pakoras, Spring/chicken/ beef rolls , Mixed fruits are must haves of Iftaar table.

After 30 days of fasting in Ramadan, the Muslims celebrate a three-day holiday, a festival called Eid-ul-Fitr.
