Tangy Indian Hyderabadi BEEF CURRY (گوشت کی کڑھی) – South India is the area encompassing the Indian states of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Goa and Telangana as well as the union territories of Andaman and Nicobar, Lakshadweep and Puducherry, occupying 19.31% of India’s area.

RECIPE:


INGREDIENTS
• 500g Beef or Lamb diced
• 1 Tbsp Ginger & Garlic Paste
• 1 Tbsp Red Chili Powder
• 1/2 Tbsp Coriander Powder
• 1 Tsp ground Turmeric
• 1 Cup Tamarind Puree
• 1 Tbsp Salt
• 4-6 Green Chilies
• 2 Tbsp Coriander Chopped
• 2-3 Stalks Curry Leaves
• 2 Tbsp Rice Flour
• 2 Onions thinly diced
• 2 Tomatoes chopped
• 1/2 Cup Oil

INSTRUCTIONS:


1: Mix 2 table spoon rice flour with some water and make a thick paste and set aside.

2: Heat oil in a sauce pan and add sliced onions fry until onions turn light brown.

3: Add ginger- garlic paste, meat and saute for a few mins.

4: Add 1 cup water and cook on low heat for 20-25 mins.

5: Once meat is tender, add diced tomato, curry leaves, tamarind puree and cook for 5 mins.

6: Add rice flour paste and cook for another 5 mins.

7:Serve with steamed rice and garnish with chopped coriander.
