Pakistan vs South Africa series is about to begin. It is international test cricket returning to Pakistan after a very long time. This is a huge moment in Pakistan’s cricket history.
It’s a new era in Pakistani cricket as Babar Azam is the new Captain of the Pakistani team. Who was supposed to captain the team during the matches with New Zealand but could not due to an injury.
Along with a new captain we the chief selector has also given some new cricketers a chance. We will be seeing new faces. Abdullah Shafiq from the New Zealand tour has been dropped from the team.
Just like the Pakistani team the south African team has also reconstructed itself with different people as during the last couple of years they have lost a lot of old players thus new faces will be seen from their side as well.
Lets look at the expected team from both of the sides
In the a Pakistani team Imran Butt is expected to play instead of Abdullah Shafiq. For the present team Abid Ali has retained his position. Shan masood has been dropped azerali and babar azam would be in the middle order with Fawad Alam. Then number six probably would be mohammed is one as a wicket keeper so a good strong betting lineup considering Pakistan’s pitches and batting conditions along with these players Faheem Ashraf has retained his place so we are expecting him to give the same all rounder performance as he gave in the New Zealand tour. Hassan Ali is also making a come back and based on his domestic performance we think he is going to give a good performance for the current matches as well.
We are also hoping that Noman Ali gets a place in the team along with yasir shah to make a combo of spinballing. Shaheen Afridi is definitely going to be part of the team so that is going to be a possible team from pakistan for the first test a good balanced team.
While the South African team has the as we said there are a lot of uh inexperienced players in the team. so the batting lineup would be mainly dependent on Erin Markram , Dean Elger, Faff du Plessy and captain Quentin de kock they would be the pillars of their batting lineup and their batting will revolve around these players. on the bowling side um they have got Kagiso Rabada ,on the spin uh department they are having Keshav Maharaj and Tabrez Shamsi depending on the pitch they would possibly include two spinners both the Shamsi and Keshav Maharaj in past we have seen that south african team is heavily relying on their fast boiling but as the main fast polling lineup has been retired from the south African side so there are new faces and considering the situation in and the beaches in Pakistan they might include two spin bowlers match is going to be played in Karachi. Karachi usually has a very good betting pitch at least for first three days it’s going to be a really good battling track in Karachi. We used to have a light and dependent sometimes it has a bit of heavy wind sea breeze during the morning session and afternoon session usually ball swings so it would be interesting to see how the teams uses their ballers for first session. It would be helpful for the fast ballers then it would become a really good batting track for next two three days. Day four and day five usually help spinners so it’s going to be a good contest between the batting and the balling lineups we are hoping that it’s going to be a really good test match and test series and for this series. It is expected that Pakistan will win this test series 1 0 at least south Africa although south Africa has a very good record in Pakistan they have just lost one test match in Pakistan but it is that was different team different era now it’s a different uh teams of the different south African team so we hoping Pakistan will perform well against south Africa and win this test series all the best to both the teams and we will come again with the review of the matches see you then
